Catiago is the brilliant young son of Cambridge out of one of Holstein’s top producers, the Cathago mare, G-Catania. Cambridge by Caletto I out of a Marlon mare was himself vice champ at the Bucha as a seven year old and has produced, among others, stallions sons Catoki and Chambertin, both who excel in sport and already have produced stallion sons of their own. Additionally, both Cambridge and Chambertin produced Olympic horses in 2008. Dressage horse Cinque Cento is by Cambridge and both Laura Kraut’s Cedric and Asian show jumper Can Do are by Chambertin.
Catiago’s mother, G-Catania by Carthago out of a Leonardo mare is one of Holstein’s top producers. She produced Catiago’s 2 full sisters, Phylis and Olivia, one a Verband premium mare and top dressage horse and the other a states premium mare and top level jumping horse. G-Catania also produced 2 other Catiago 1/2 sisters, both premium mares. 2006 was an amazing year for G-Catania. Her Contender son, Carthano I Z, Catiago’s ½ brother, was approved at the Holsteiner approvals in Neumunster, and sold to Zangersheide for the astonishing sum of 180,000 Euro. Perhaps even more special that year was the third place finish in the German National Championships for 6 year olds by Catiago’s full sister, Magic Fox (aka Phylis).
Catiago's foal's are beautiful, typey athletes. Catiago has begun his show career in the hunter and jumper rings and has already picked up a number of good prizes.
